![]() You to scramble to your feet as he brings the sword down to where you were. ![]() You stab him twice in his left shoulder before he punches you in the jaw, knocking you off of him.īy now, the swordsman has recovered and grabs his weapon, intent on running you through. ![]() You charge past the swordsman and tackle the archer before he can load another arrow. Charge at the archer and try to stab him. The arrow flies past your head, barely missing you. The archer loads an arrow and lets it go with practiced ease. The swordsman goes down, holding his now broken nose in pain. You pull back and punch the swordsman as hard as you can. The man's sword bounces off of the barrier before it shatters, the charm now being rendered useless for the rest of the fight. You don't have time to avoid the attack but your Charm activates, creating a magical barrier to protect you. The swordsman starts by charging at you, swinging his sword in a wide arc. You only have a Defense Charm, some cheap armor and a dagger, but you aren't going down easily. They have you cornered in your own home and after their mage was killed by one of your traps, they aren't going to let you leave alive. You stare down the two people in front of you, an archer and a swordsman. If it would cut you down, then game over. If the blow would bounce off of your armor, then you'd be fine. That just means that the next attack will do the damage it would logically do to you. Keep in mind, it isn't game over if you run out. It would decrease if you would be hit by an attack that would do damage to you. Since the main character, at this point, isn't a one-woman army, I was thinking that instead of a traditional "Health" system, I'd use another system.īasically, the Life Meter would be a measure of how much you can avoid death in combat. While it may not be relevant for a few more in-game days, I was thinking about the in-game combat system and how it would be implemented. As some of you may know, I'm running a quest in which a peasant must stop adventurers from breaking into their house and stealing their stuff.
